Welcome to Stafford RAYNET Group. RAYNET (Radio Amateurs Emergency Network) is a National organisation and exists to support local communities and the emergency services with Radio communications in times of crisis or in support of local community events.

RAYNET has provided additional communications at major incidents involving aircraft, trains, flooding, evacuations, telephone exchange failures, missing persons searches, adverse weather, oil/chemical pollution etc. We also provide additional safety communications for local fun runs, marathons, car rallies and a wide variety of events, whereby message passing, engineering skills and operational procedures can be tried and tested.

Stafford RAYNET works closely with North Staffs Raynet and Derby Dales Raynet cross supporting their events. We are one of the largest active groups in the UK and have a versatile and dynamic membership. All members are volunteers and are either Licensed radio amateurs or have an interest in radio communication and a willingness to help out. Our operators utilise their own equipment and skills, thereby we have no reliance on external services and so we ensure our radio network remains operational at all times.

Interested? Whether you are a licensed amateur radio operator or not, get in touch today and get involved!
